Tayce Williams
Passion for art began at a young age, when she found her voice through drawing during a very difficult time in her life. She took up drawing any where, any time and on everything she could. So much so, that she even got in trouble and received phone calls home for drawing to much at school. Despite the bad calls home for making art out of any paper handout. Tayce's mother always encouraged her to draw and make art despite her teachers comments. That encouragement would later feed a passion that has become a skill and a life changing choice that has not only paid for her college education, but it has also given her connections that have been financially rewarding and has allowed her to meet people who have inspired and instilled a motivation in her to continue to create beautiful works of art. Her confidence and voice are made evident in her works by the way she explores new ways to visually express herself. Be it through drawing, painting, graphic design, photography, and or custom framing. She seeks to reveal the world to others through her eyes.Tayce is currently working on a Bachelors of Fine Arts at Washburn University, with a double concentration in painting, drawing, and photography. She has received multiple art scholarships and been accepted into 6 juried shows at the Mulvane Art Museum and has had 3 solo exhibitions shows.
She can often been found on an impromptu adventure to photograph the world, but usually she takes solstice in being a mom, a fiance, a homebody at heart, an avid book reader, and a woman who finds utter joy in watching standup comedy. As for her style of aesthetics when creating art, she practices a mix of contemporary and traditional art styles , that pay homage to her spiritual beliefs and life experiences. She strives to create works that evoke both emotions and feelings of an ethereal, an whimsical nature that are executed in a surrealistic style. This style allows her viewers to be swept up into works that are intriguing and give off a seductive ambience.
